Welcome to saveMoorooka.org,
Created and run by local Moorooka residents, this is a non-partisan, community-sourced information and resource initially setup to inform fellow residents about the proposed Brisbane City Council (BCC) development plans for the local area, including Moorooka.
saveMoorooka.org is a central repository of information and provides a focused forum for people to have a conversation about the topics around the future of our beloved suburb.
This is not an anti-development site, we're advocating for a more considered, community-focused plan which positively benefits local residents and businesses, now and into the future. Sensible and sustainable development.
Limitations and better placement of new high-rise development, more green spaces, a library and better protection of character houses are just some of issues important to locals who have a voice and want to be heard.
